About the artist

I am Astrid Møgster, an artist from Austevoll, Norway. I started as a makeup artist in 2012 and spent several years expressing my creativity through face painting and SFX makeup. After a long break from the makeup world I missed being creative. I wanted to try something different and swapped my makeup brushes for paintbrushes and replaced faces with canvases.

I primarily paint with acrylics on canvas, exploring various styles and techniques. While my paintings vary in expression and genre, I hope they evoke something in the viewer.
